What inspires and informs your work?
The things that inform my work often change. At the moment I look to photography and film stills for visual inspiration and I’m listening to a lot of audiobooks for entertainment. I’m a big fan of book covers, I walk round bookshops and look at all the covers on fun days out.
Tell us a bit about your process…
I’ll always start with a load of rough drawings of different ideas and compositions in my sketchbook, this bit takes me the longest and is usually the most stressful but it works best for me if I get everything resolved at this stage. I then rough out a final image on a lightbox and draw all the key elements separately before scanning them in and bringing them together with colour on the computer.
