We are looking for a talented Junior Designer to join our creative and dynamic London based Publishing Company.
Reporting to the Senior Designer, this role will involve creating innovative books across both our adult and children’s illustrated fiction and non-fiction lists, tie-in product for film / tv releases, marketing materials for both our UK and US offices as well as delivering strong design that is appropriate to the list, format and target market.
This is an exciting and interesting role for an individual and the successful person will have demonstrable and relevant design experience with strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite. You will be a highly organised multi-tasker with the ability to handle a substantial workload, taking projects from concept to print on time and on budget. First class design skills are essential as is the ability to be creative. Experience in children`s publishing is desirable but not essential.
- Design, plan and generate content for marketing materials and publications (print and digital)
- Develop and maintain image library
- Coordinating and supporting the design and production of publications
- Offering a design and production service for campaigns, including design and production of posters, leaflets, stationery, banners
- Checking and sizing images
- Managing and maintaining relationships with suppliers including printers, designers, promotional suppliers and distributors
Experience / skills required:
- Extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop and InDesign
- Experience of project management of publications
- Excellent eye for detail and design
- Highly organised and able to work to deadlines and multi task
- Experience with marketing campaigns

We are looking for talented and enthusiastic students to help us out with all sorts of projects and events. Due to the progressive nature of the company and the varied projects at hand, you will be expected to be quite flexible.
Please be aware that we can only offer internships to students looking for placements as part of a university course. After we have reviewed your application, and if it is successful, we will then require a letter from your university to show that you are enrolled on a course.

2:2 or higher at degree level

A laptop with CS4 installed.
Basic digital SLR camera skills
