(In A Sense) Lost and Found

(In a Sense) Lost and Found explores the theme of innocence by treating it as a tangible object – something that can be used, lost, mistreated. Muradov’s crisp, delicate style conjures a world of strange bookstores, absurd conspiracies and wordplay. A surreal tale told in the mould of the best American comics.

Roman Muradov is an artist whose work we’ve admired from afar for several years. He is a prolific illustrator with his work cropping up far and wide, from the cover for James Joyce’s centennial edition of Dubliners, published by Penguin, to working with highly esteemed publications such as the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Vogue. His style is utterly spell-binding and his imagination singular. With each illustration, he creates a new impression of the world and its characters emerge with a freshness and vibrancy that are simply enchanting. In 2013, Muradov  received a gold medal from the Society of Illustrators and has self published his own comics The Yellow Zine.

“His style is fantastically unique, it’s filled with a great sense of rhythm and enriched with a touch of chaos not unlike jazz.” – The Fox is Black

“What can I say about the work of Roman Muradov except for a simple “Wow!” This guy is bloody brilliant.” – It’s Nice That
