The two extraordinary covers from the latest edition of Nobrow Magazine are now available as flat A2 litho prints. Both covers, by Belgian illustrator Sam Vanallemeersch and Turkish artist Eda Akaltun, are reflections on the issue’s theme: Brave New World, and both explode with violent, disjoined imagery that invites and rewards many repeat viewings.
Eda Akaltun is inspired by her love for traditional printmaking and collage; her detailed artworks incorporate her collection of paper ephemera, 50s fashion catalogues and old family photos. Originally from Istanbul, Eda now lives and works in London, and her rich and striking work has appeared in many editions of the Nobrow illustration magazine.
Her front cover for Nobrow 7 is made out of more than 600 layers of imagery.
